 Mind At Peace Inc.(MAP) we are a small group of individuals with dedication and personal experience in Staffing,Clinical Nursing, Finance, and Nursing Home Administration. Mind At Peace, Inc. (MAP) is committed to becoming the leader in advocacy for excellence in healthcare for seniors by focusing both capitol and intellectual resources to promote a better quality of life for all residents in need of transitional and long term care.

What We Offer

 Mind At Peace has been designed to offer staffing, home health aide, housing, nutrition, activities and nurturing life for seniors. Likewise, the pro forma budgets allows Mind At Peace to pay competitive wages to key management, staff, volunteers and enhancing the quality of operations. We modify our custom care plan for your family member as their needs change, allowing them to live at home as long as possible. Management Team

Clinical Supervisor/Office Manager- Olivia Hernandez

Olivia Hernandez is our Clinical Supervisor/Office Manager facilitates the employment, development and

management of employees. As the Clinical Supervisor she also assists the Medical Director in the development and

marketing of new services and referral sources, maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional

development to keep pace with the trends in health care administration. She also performs other related duties which

may be inclusive, but not listed in position job description, promotes the provision of cost-effective, high-quality

health care services to patients, reviews operational problems/policies and recommends solutions and change to

Medical Director. Olivia cooperates with medical and administrative staff to ensure compliance with standards and

regulations. Assists Practice Manager in promoting and developing marketing activities to ensure continued practice

growth and market share, assists Practice Manager in promoting and developing marketing activities to ensure

continued practice grow and market share. She provides management of all day -to-day clinic operations: staffing,

personnel, patient throughput, works collaboratively with physicians and staff to improve optimize efficient and

effective operations. In collaboration with program manager interviews, conducts employee orientation and

performance reviews, and verifies employee competencies. She also evaluates performance and recommends merit

increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions, assists in interviews, trains, and orients staff, works with senior

management to ensure operations and relations are effective.

improvement tools. She is knowledgeable on medical coding and billing procedures in a physician practice setting.

Excellent communication skills, including ability to collaborate with people at all levels of the organization to across

the Medical Center. She has shown her ability to coach and hold employees accountable for job performance,

demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems and provide instruction on complex processes,

Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained by the end of the orientation period

(approximately six (6) weeks), Able to document care legibly in hand written text. She has strong written and verbal

communication skills, ability to comfortably and effectively facilitate meetings and feedback sessions. Effective

verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying

levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.

Director of Medical- Tom Pitney

Our Director of Medical is Tom Pitney who provides oversight and contributes to the development of clinical

protocols and amendments, investigator brochures, and clinical study reports. Tom has established and drives our

teams to execute the strategic long-term vision for our care clients. He serves as the joint development committee

clinical lead for partnered development programs, contribute to the strategic development of other early and late

stage clinical programs, conduct literature reviews and prepare summaries to support development programs to

interact with multiple levels of management within Mind At Peace as well with regulatory authorities. Tom serves

as a competent medical resource for design and interpretation of clinical and preclinical programs to support existing

Tom collaborate with CMO, Medicaid and Behavioral Services and engage all functional areas of ‘Mind At Peace’

from a clinical perspective to develop innovative programs as well as products lines; serving as the primary clinical

liaison with Network Services, Strategic and Advisory Services, Finance and Underwriting, Marketing, Operations,

Information Systems, Pharmacy, and Product Development, Nurture personal and professional growth/development

by attending seminars, workshops, and establishing professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field

of expertise. Interface with Health Systems cross-functional and shared resources to further the 'cause' to create a


seamless healthcare patient-flow management process and insurance model. Swiftly respond to challenges and/or

opportunities as they arise. Develop and implement innovative programs to act on historical data, identifying new

trends, retooling existing approaches, and analyzing the competition. As an integral member of Health Plan's

leadership team, serve as a 'role model' and 'health advocate' within the DC, Maryland and Virginia community,

including active participation with UPMC sponsored activities, public events and community outreach programs.

Collaborate with physicians to develop clinical programming by accessing and mining clinical data, devising

methods to manage populations. Partner with physicians to improve reimbursement model and performance based

physician incentive programs. As the Medical Director Tom Pitney expands, motivate and mentor care providers,

clinical and Medical Affairs staff by 'setting the pace' and fostering 'excellence by a leading example'. Tom assesses

the overall team, including ongoing recruitment and hiring of talent. Ensuring that Mind At Peace has the 'right

people' in the 'right positions' and that the organization's structure is designed to maximize result

Human Resource Director- Susan Nathan

Susan Nathan is our HR Director who oversees senior management succession and leadership planning, and

work with senior management to establish a robust management succession plan, create and execute network

headcount, talent acquisition and employee development strategies across WWops HR org. Susan provides

coaching and counseling to employees in areas such as management development, conflict resolution and career

development, assist senior management in the development of solutions through organizational development

and cultural and process-oriented perspectives. She works closely with other department heads and support

recruitment, competence development & performance management initiatives. Susan has shown success in

people management, including attraction, assessment/hiring, development, and performance management. She

works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel

matters.

Susan has strong skills in leading change, project management & building relationships, commercially aware

with a sound HR generalist background and proven business and commercial acumen. In-depth knowledge of

issues as well as considering the impact of new legislation and devising new HR policies and procedures. She

has proven high ability to manage change effectively, display initiative and follow through on development of


ideas, highly developed influencing skills combined with the ability to manage a challenging and diverse client

base and the confidence to question Management about actions / decisions, possess excellent leadership and

communication skills - credible at senior level and able to challenge the status quo, a team player with strong

interpersonal and communication skills, expert skills in MS desktop software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint),

and administration.

Director of Accounting- Ryan Jacobs

Our Director of Accounting is Ryan Jacobs who direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements. Ryan develops, improves and issue timely

monthly financial reports, issue timely monthly financial statements, financial plans, budgets, and financial forecasts, manages and tracks the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines. Ryan also works closely with department heads and staff to develop operating procedures as it relates to finance, provides financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects manage commercial banking relationships, manages the close process (month, quarter, year-end).


As the Director of Accounting Ryan oversees full maintenance of the company general ledger, chart of accounts, all financial records, full charge for monthly and annual financial closing

process, evaluate and apply internal controls to achieve accurate and efficient accounting systems and compliance with company, professional, and government accounting practices, the

company financial reporting including the preparation of regular financial statements, necessary corporate filings, and specialized management reports, develop policies and procedures to

safeguard company assets and ensure transactions are recorded properly, provide key business analytics related to as well as create a monthly close calendar, determine the division of tasks for

team members, present proposals to CEO for resolution of important issues and ensure deadlines are met by the team.

Ryan Jacobs is proactive and self-motivated; excellent organizational skills and detail-orientation are all essential.

Ryan is certified in all Microsoft Excel proficient (Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, Macros, etc.), strong knowledge of US GAAP, strong attention to detail, proficiency with computer platforms and applications, polished and professional demeanor, ability to multitask, strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and great interpersonal skills.

Director of Security- Jamar Richardson

Jamar Richardson is our ‘Mind At Peace’ licensed Director Of Security who develop and implement programs and standard operating procedures to protect employees and create safe and compliant work environments. Jamar develops and implement action plans for improved security operations at the company. He works with the property management and advises client security leadership and line of business leadership on emergency situations, ensures all Security Managers have established operational procedures as outlined in the ‘Mind At Peace’ Security and Life Safety Manual. Mr. Richardson also provides oversight and guidance to ‘Mind At Peace’ Facility Managers in the field for security related issues and concerns if needed. Jamar developed dashboards and metrics related to risks associated with the third party service provider and the services they offer as a provider. He conducts regular departmental audits and reports any Health & Safety concerns for improvement and reinforcement of good work practices.
